We are beyond excited to announce that Hawai‘i Children’s Theatre has been selected as a recipient of the 2024–2025 Stand For The Arts Award, presented by Ovation TV and Spectrum! This national honor is awarded to just ten organizations across the country each year — and we’re proud to represent Kaua‘i on this distinguished list.

The Stand For The Arts Award celebrates organizations that are making a powerful difference in their communities through inclusive, accessible, and impactful arts programming. At HCT, we believe the arts are for everyone — and this award is a recognition of the heart, hustle, and creative spirit that fuels everything we do.

With this honor comes a $10,000 contribution to help support our mission of providing affordable arts education, performance opportunities, and creative expression for youth across the island. From musical theatre productions and student-led projects to technical training and outreach programs, we’re building something magical — and you are part of it.

🎉 Join us in celebrating!

We’ll be accepting the award on stage during the opening night of Shrek Jr. — Friday, July 18 at 6 PM, with a special red carpet celebration, delicious food, and a performance you won’t want to miss. This will be a night to remember, and we’d love for you to share it with us!

Mahalo to Ovation TV, Spectrum, and our incredible community of artists, students, families, and supporters. This award belongs to all of us — let’s keep standing for the arts, together. 💚🎶🎭
