After Dark Auditions

REGISTRATION REQUIRED. Auditions are at the Puhi Theatrical Warehouse 4411 Kikowaena St. Lihue, 96766 AGES: 15+ Auditions on Saturday, June 6 from 4 pm – 8 pm Dance Auditions on Sunday, June 7 from 2 pm – 4 pm (all auditioners must attend). Invited Callbacks on Sunday, June 7 from 4 pm – 6 pm Performances: Thursdays – Sundays | July 30 – August 16 | All performances at 7 pm.   AUDITION INSTRUCTIONS: Prepare a song you enjoy singing—any style (ballad, comedy, pop/rock, hip hop, etc.). The priority is that you connect with it and stay true to the story, the character, and/or yourself. Length is flexible (30 seconds–2 minutes), or feel free to sing the full song if you’d like. You may sing from the show, but it’s not required. No accompanist provided. A computer, Wi-Fi, and speaker will be available. You may also bring your own device. Please have a track ready and know your start and end point. You may also email your track in advance to tajgutierrez00@gmail.com

HCT Theatre Academy, in association with Carol Culver, welcomes highly acclaimed Hollywood talent manager Susie Mains for two special events for performers and families.

Hollywood 101: Q & A for Families
Friday, June 26, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Meet acclaimed Hollywood talent manager Susie Mains along with Karen Agudong, mother of Kauai Actresses and Susieʻs clients, Sydney and Siena Agudong, as they share firsthand insight and guidance for families navigating the journey toward a professional acting career.

Workshop: Work with Susie
Sunday, June 28, 12 to 6 p.m.
A hands-on workshop for ages 7 through adult covering TV and film auditions, preparation, casting tips, and how to audition for TV and film from home. Cost: $200.

HCT is excited to offer private 1:1 coaching with incredible instructors and performing arts professionals Jacyn Fain and Dolly Kanekuni.

Whether you or your child are getting ready for the next show, preparing for an audition or callback, working on a solo, building confidence on camera, or wanting extra support with stage presence and performance skills, private coaching is a great way to grow.

Students of all ages can choose the instructor who best fits their goals and work one-on-one on skills such as vocal technique, song coaching, acting through song, scene work, audition cuts, self-tape technique, modeling/commercial performance, mock auditions, and performance confidence.

This program is designed for teens and HCT alumni who have grown through our programs and are ready to take on more complex and mature musical theater material. In an intimate black-box setting, these experienced young actors, designers, and stage technicians work alongside adults and seasoned professionals to explore deeper themes, take creative risks, and elevate their craft. It’s a unique opportunity for advanced students to grow artistically in a collaborative, professional-level environment.

This is a full-scale, Broadway-style production where young performers work alongside seasoned adult actors and professional theater staff to create an unforgettable theatrical experience.
